Debonair

"Danny"

Bay colt

out of a Thoroughbred mare

born 4/9/05

Thought I would introduce you all to the new man in my life, Debonair a.k.a. Danny. He was born on Saturday morning just after midnight. He is a dashing bay boy with a beautiful crescent and one white back sock. He MOVES! I am so excited at my next dressage prospect, he will definitely be one to watch!

He is laid back and sweet as they come, mom did a great job and she has settled nicely into her role of mother hen. I am so tickled!

More pictures when the weather clears and I can get them out on the beautiful green pasture!

Hope Gerdes (Danny's other mom)

Above with "mom, Hope", who is 5'8" tall. He's a big boy!

On Sept. 25th, Danny went to his AWS inspection, in Henderson, Kentucky. This was his first trip off the farm, and he did great! He even won the Bronze Medal, receiving the 3rd highest score out of 17 entries, with a score of 76.5 (Blue Preferred ranking; only 14% receive this high a score). He also received an 8 for his walk and trot. We are very proud of this boy, and know his human mommy is too!

Congratulations Danny and Hope!

This is Danny doing what he loves to do...splash in the water. Can you say EXTENSION!! And he will do this when it is COLD outside. He loves his water, maybe he will have to do some eventing??
